Hello reception blog followers… not sure what’s happened over the last few weeks, but hopefully I’ll be back more regular than I have been lately.
Today we had our Christmas treat - Alice and Wonderland. I was very proud of the Reception children who sat sensibly all the way through and followed the story! It just shows how grown up they’re becoming!
We’ve been working hard with the Nursery class to put together a Christmas play for you. Hope to see you all tomorrow at 10am or 2 pm. We had our dress rehearsal on Monday, in which we made a few mistakes. However someone told me that if a dress rehearsal doesn’t go to plan then the real performance will be great…we’ll see!
I would just like to say thank you for getting the Christmas costumes into school on time, hope you enjoy tomorrow!

Diane our community support officer came into tell us about the jobs that Police do. They do a lot to help us in the community…not just arresting naughty people. Quotes of the day - when the children were asked what other animal apart from a dog, helps the police: some of our answers included ”frogs” “cats” “donkeys” “squirrels” It was very funny!

Hello,
I’m still waiting for a few more facts and family photographs. If I could have them in soon - it would be much appreciated. Thanks Miss Newham

We are running low on junk modelling boxes, so if you could bring some in - that would be great. We can’t accept toilet rolls due to hygiene reasons. The kind of things we would like are: kitchen roll tubes, small/medium/large food boxes, small apple pie tins, yoghurt pots, egg boxes, etc. Thank you!

What a busy Tuesday… This morning we enjoyed our second ’sounds~write’ lesson where we learnt some new letter sounds. After break we did some PE, and played a bean game and ‘rabbits’ We were most impressed with the children’s listening and behaviour in the hall - they were terrific! After lunch Mrs Cassidy joined us to go into the computer room. It was also terrific tueday because our new outdoor play area has started to be installed. Hope you enjoy your new reading books, these are for you to read and make up your own story. If you have any queries about the reading please come and talk to us. Next week the children will be encouraged to take home a library book which can be changed as often or as little as you want.
Just a little reminder, when you return the water bottles on a Monday, please refill with water not juice thank you.
See you tomorrow!

Hope you all enjoyed the photo’s… we didn’t have very long in the hall due to getting changed (taking half an hour). Please Please practice as we all enjoy the time in the hall. We can tell the children who get dressed themselves in the morning!
